Courtney Development’s architectural department is creative, functional, and cost effective. The architectural team works closely with the owner to fully understand their needs and strives to create an end product with an emphasis on quality and intelligent design. Additionally, the team closely collaborates with the construction department to design a project that will be built in a timely manner and within budget.
CONSTRUCTION
Quality construction is at the core of Courtney Development. Our construction team places emphasis on understanding the project during the pre-construction phase by reviewing drawings and details with the architect and owner thoroughly and effectively. This front loaded approach enables our team to resolve challenges early and avoids delays in the field. Similarly, we work tirelessly with our trade partners to ensure they fully understand their respective scope of work prior to construction helping to alleviate wasted time during the building phase. During this pre-construction phase our team clearly outlines the scope of work to the owner, which helps identify potential missing scope and additionally provides opportunity for cost savings if there is a material and/or detail discovered that could be simplified. This clearly defined process allows a project to be delivered on schedule, within budget, and results in a quality product.
Once the building phase begins the daily, on-site management team oversees all trades and coordinates their schedules, and work scope. This team is responsible for sending weekly reports to the owner outlining the week’s accomplishments, setbacks, and what is upcoming for the next week. This is an important tool in clearly, effectively, and transparently communicating the status of the project to the client.
Lastly, Courtney Development uses the industry’s finest construction software. This enables the entire team including the owner, design, and construction teams, as well as the trade partners to openly collaborate. Investing in key software helps to ensures the team builds quality projects with minimal risk.
